My name is Kathleen Yvonne Taylor and I'm an ordained minister with the Church of God which is based in Anderson, Indiana.

I have been married to John Taylor for nineteen years and we
live in Spring Church. I have two children and three beautiful grandchildren. I was born and raised in Point Marion, PA and moved to this area in 1972.

My husband has recently retired from the Auditor General’s Department where he was a State Auditor. He is a graduate of the Institute of Servant Leadership. I am blessed to have a husband that fully supports me and works beside of me in my ministry.

I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour when I was twelve years old. I began teaching Bible School at the Oak Grove Christian Church when I was seventeen.

I was licensed in 2004, received my certification from Anderson School of Theology for Ministerial Studies in March 2004, and completed 126 CEU from Anderson School of Theology. I received a certificate in May 2004 for Prepare and Enrich Counseling program, attended Theo Therapy a faith based counseling program in 2005. In October 2005, I was a graduate of the Institute for Servant Leadership, earn my Bachelor Degree in Theology in 2006, I received my ordination with the Church of God in 2007. Earned my Masters Degree in Theology on June 2009 and am currently working on my Doctor Degree in Theology.

During camp meeting 2006, I was asked to candidate at the Franklin Avenue Church of God in Vandergrift. The Lord assured me that it was not what I could do but it was what He could do through me. I candidated and was hired on October 15th and work under the supervision of Rev. Gale Winning for two months. In December 2006, I was hired as their full time senior pastor.

I am the President of the Kiski Area Association of Churches (KAAC), a certified Disaster Chaplain with the Allegheny County Health Department. I am on the Board of Kiski Area Loving Ministries (KALM) in Vandergrift, visiting pastor at the Pine View Nursing Home, and I am on the Board of Directors in the Apollo Ridge School District.

I know God has placed me in Vandergrift. As I continue to follow Him, I can see His hands moving in the church. I am looking forward to the growth that God has in store for both the Vandergrift congregation and me.

In His Service,
Pastor Kathy
